I am both a parent and a wrestling fan. First of all, assuming your parents are reasonable people just tell them what you are thinking, I promise they won't think you are stupid even if they don' think its a great idea. You have a few years before you will be ready to make any serious move toward this goal at any rate, in the meantime if I were you I would get involved in amateur wrestling, does your school have a wrestling program? You should start with that and keep in good shape weather they do or not. Another suggestion I would make is to do some serious research on the career, not just wrestling history, but what are the ins and outs of the business, what can you expect to accomplish, what would be your likely amount of yearly income, what is the average carer span of a wrestler, how long do wrestlers live? You should find out all these things. You should be aware allot of wrestlers die at an early age for a variety of health reasons. When I was in high school I wanted to be a DJ until I did my senior theme on the subject and learned how much money most of them make.
In short, be honest with your parents, keep in shape if this is really your dream, and do the research to know what your are getting into.
Good luck and God Bless.

Do some research on it before deciding it is a career for you.
Most of the pro wrestlers you see on TV, WWE, earn about 70 thousand a year and have to pay their own travel expenses (200 - 300 days a year on the road) and medical expenses.
For example, Samoa Joe who is pretty well known does one to two days a week for TNA, then four or five days a week for independant promotions.
Pro wrestlers put up with constant injuries, and often their careers end due to injuries. Some of these injuries cripple them for life.
Once you have all the details then you can talk to your parents and tell them you know it's hard work, but you plan on having other options such as an education.

Tell your parents that you have a dream to do this sport and will keep up with your studying and up hold your marks if you can have the enjoyment of doing something you love. Dont tell them that you want to be a pro wrestler at this point b/c they will just think you are throwing your life away. And with that they will likely agree b/c they will feel you earned it. Than as time goes on and they realize you are very good and gifted in wrestling it wont be to hard for them to realize you have a gift..lol

Your parents will be proud of you no matter what you do. They are just worried about if you will make the right decisions in life. As far as how to convinice your parents.... Just stay in school and keep good grades. Join the school wrestling team. If you can show them that you like wresting but are able to keep your educational responsibilitys they will be more likley to agree with you.
