If you're talking about a child who wets his/her bed, the best way is to let that child physically mature. It's a rare 2 year old who dry at night, and most boys aren't ready until they're after 5. Just ease off on the stress and stop pushing. Many teenage boys still occasionally wet the bed.

There are behavior-modification devices, like the "pee-buzzer" available to help wake a very deep sleeper when their pants are wet. Best to use these after age 5, though. You can also check for urinary tract infections, and serve cranberry juice.

An adult bed wetter should check for urinary tract infections too, and limit liquid intake after supper. The "pee-buzzer" device might also help.

Good luck, and invest in waterproof pads and a heavy plastic mattress cover. Sometimes making bed-wetting a non-issue and removing the stress and shame can make a huge difference.
