I got a 2007 NEW 12MP SVP Snap DIGITAL VIDEO CAMCORDER CAMERA And ive never heard of the brand?? Is it good?

Sorry to say that this brand does not carry a strong quality reputation with it.
This is an inexpensive "knock-off" line that is made by one of the larger Chinese electronics manufacturers as an inexpensive house brand that is exported under a number of different name brands (SVP being one of them).
Poor build quality with mediocre (at best components) will probably have you searching for a new camera at some point.
My advice is to use the camera as it was intended realizing the limitations of picture and build quality. When it dies don't spend any money on repairs (good money after bad as they say), instead look for a name brand replacement from Sony, JVC, or Panasonic.

SVP has a very bad reputation for making horrible cameras and false advertisement.
