Volvo has toyed with a few hybrid ideas here and there, but nothing really in concrete, and they really don't need to.
Volvo's overall fleet EPA numbers are higher than most. Here in the U.S. we dont have the availability of their diesels, so most of their products are either 4 or 5 cylinder engines. It's not till recently they have their first V8. But the majority of their vehicles are the smaller engine models.
Volvo would probably adopt one of Ford's hybrid systems, but Lexus already has demonstrated, that not many are willing to pay a premium, to save fuel. Granted, if your spending money on a luxury car, gas shouldn't be on your top list of concerns.
The verdict on hybrids are still out. Studies already show that more so, you might have to keep the vehicle over 8 years, to benefit from the initial investment that the consumer had to pay for a non-hybrid model of the equal vehicle.
So I don't see Volvo jumping on that bandwagon.

It looks like bucks aren't that important to you. If the cost isn't a major factor, the Porcshe, then the Volvo and then the Tahoe. All of them are great choices that I'm sure you would be very happy with. The Tahoe Hybrid isn't a true hybrid, it will save you next to nothing in gas, but it does help quite a bit in cutting down on emmisions pollutants. The Porcshe is way cool, but VW has a similar car that is almost the same.
