You know how you have that web underneath your tongue, well i have a big swollen red bump there now, and when i lift my tongue up, it hurts, bc its pulling my skin thats connected to the gums on the back side of my bottom teeth.
anyone have this before? im worried. i dont drink i dont smoke, and the only time i noticed this was yesterday after i got my cavities filled....am i gonig nuts here or is there someone out there who has had this before? should i see a doctor?

Wait it out a couple of days. Chances are the dentist did some damage inadvertently while working on you when you were numb. It happens... Often, the tissues under the tongue get kind of sucked into the back end of the drill because of the air draw created by the spinning turbine.

If it starts to look worse instead of better, you may need an antibiotic, but 95 times out or 100, they just get better on their own in 3-4 days.

Yes go back and see your dentist. It may have been that the frenum (ie the web that attaches your tongue to the gum) may be hurt. Even if it is a small tiny injury it pains alot and it makes it seem worse than it is. The other reason could be that there are saliva ducts (ie tubes that allow saliva to flow into you mouth) that open out under the tongue in that area and it can be blocked and it is painfull as well. The way to test this is check when you eat (you salivate) and if the pain is worse, then it could be the saliava ducts, but if the pain is same, it is a small injury on you frenum
Either way go back to your dentist to have it looked at

Take care

It appears like a canker sore to me. I frequently get them while i'm quite under pressure. they're a discomfort, actually, yet they could be long gone in 7-10 days. There are some over-the-counter drugs that could help with the discomfort.

Its just a sore from where they did the dental work, gargle with salt water for a few days it should disappear.
