Why is this in the allergy section?
But to answer your question, the memorizing of naming formulas, etc., isn't all that hard, but some of the concepts are difficult to understand...I am working towards a chemistry degree...and organic chem is the one chem that I DON'T like...

There is no way to memorize all you need to know in organic chem classes, so you must have an understanding of it to be able to figure things out.... especially when it comes to reactions!

Understand the PRINCIPLES and CONCEPTS and you will understand and enjoy organic chemistry. It's all about understanding ... not memorization.

It's way more than protein, carbs and lipids. There are synthesis, mechanisms, spectroscopy and reactions. I am in my second semester of orgo and it is challenging. It's alot of infromation in a restricted amount of time. The subject itself is easy enough, there is just alot of it and not enough time to process it. Study hard and you can do it! It takes dedication.
