i have bien sick with a cough for about 2 days now i am still sick and all of the sudden my jaw bone along my chin on the right side has been hurting like someone took a remote and smacked me in the jaw but it just happend out of know wear and i didnt even touch it does anyone know why this is happening or if its normal? thanks so much!

Sounds like TMJ. I have it. It comes and goes. Sometimes it is brought on for me just by coughing. Sometimes by yawning. It sucks and hurts like someone is stabbing my jaw bones with an ice pick. There are ways to fix it but most of them require surgery.

It may possibly your wisdom teeth that are causing you discomfort. If you have been in a fight or were hit in the face (which i doubt) then it is surely your wisdom teeth. Go to a dentist and get xrays taken to assess it. Impacted wisdom teeth present in the manner you described. It can flare up after an bout of flu.

Are you sure it's not TMJ?
