Used cars do not qualify for any factory rebates. If you consider aa demo used, they do qualify since they have not been titled yet, and are considered new by the factory, which provides the rebates. There are different types of factory rebates that can be combined. But there are those that can not be combined. The deler will know. Sometimes a lower interest rate will save you more money, so be sure to check that out too. And some factory rebates can be applied with a lower interest rate, but not all. Sometimes it is one or the other. Certain larger nation wide companies have incentives or rebates to their employees that buy a specific make. GM has a credit card incentive that uses points to lower the price of the car/truck that does not interfere with other rebates. And rebates change all the time, and have different expiration dates or program end dates.
I was looking to buy a specific car until I found out that the model I was looking at only had a small rebate, but a better model had a more rebates, so for just a little more money, I got a better model car, more equipment etc., because of the different rebates out there. I was looking at a Malibu and ended up with an Impala..almost fully loaded!! For about 1000.00 more. It was certainly worth it.
First time buyer, college, military, previous owner, or even a different make owner can have discounts or rebates. Ask the dealer what is being offered. If you qualify, they have to give or offer it to you.
