No. Alimony can be deducted by the payer, and is considered income to the recepient, but Child Support is neither deductible nor does it have to be claimed as income.

No, it does not get taken under consideration, yet Carer's Allowance IS. i do no longer handle IS yet I do handle JSA, and that i understand that on appropriate of the uncomplicated JSA, a Carer's top rate is paid if CA is responsible, yet on the comparable time the whole volume of CA is deducted. the present top rate is £33.30, which i've got self assurance has already been further on your uncomplicated volume, yet then the CA has been deducted. you are able to produce different deductions off this for some reason; ring the enquiry line for explanation of your cost, yet please be conscious: you are able to no longer get the whole cost of IS AND CA on the comparable time; CA is an overlapping income.

Having paid child support (in excess of $47,000 ) in the state of Texas for the previous THIRTEEN years, believe me if there were a way to make that possible I would've found it. If you're living in this state, and I'm fairly certain all throughout the U.S. regrettably the answer is not gonna happen.

Bostonianinmo obviously hasn't read the tax code as deeply as he thinks. You are indeed able to make the claim. It goes on the same form as those claims for Slave Reparations, Business Expenses paid through a Trust, The No Gain deduction (a very underused claim) and the worksheet for the Zero Wages claim.

Anyone who feels any of these claims are valid is welcome to search www.irs.gov for the form. It is Form ID10(T).

Happy hunting.

Child support is not deductible, but alimony is. The alimony must be court ordered.
