You are kidding right?
There is never a good excuse for stealing.
Remember the 10 commandments "though shall't not steal".
The "good excuse" is tell your dad right now you are sorry and will never steal from anyone ever again.
Then tell him you want to do more chores around the house to pay it back.
Did your dad teach you it is ok to steal if you have a good excuse?

What possible excuse could there be? Three times and you're out. The only thin veil of a truth that you coiuld say is that you're mental and you don't know why you did it. What did you spend the money on? Can't be anything of value or you would be able to show him.
