Not at all. My bf is 13 years older then me and we are very happy and plan on getting married.

Well not really. Most say that "age is just a number" but that may not be totally true in some cases. I would say if you are both over 18, then the age gap is nothing. As you grow older it will seem less significant!

Yes and No. There are 7 years between my husband and me. In the early years of our relationship, it seemed like a great difference because he had traveled the world and had lots of adult life experiences, and I had just attended college and then got married. Then for a while it seemed like little or no difference at all, because we were in the baby/toddler years, and the experience was new to both of us, so we learned together.
Now that his is approaching 50, the gap is widening again, for physical reasons. He is starting to have stiffenss/aches in his joints, and memory trouble, while I am still fairly fit.

Bottom line: You will notice some differences, but you CAN make it work. Good luck to you both!

Age doesn't matter, it is maturity that matters....My parents are 26 1/2 years apart...yep...my mom is 47 and my dad is 73...they have been married for almost 29 years (...yes my mom had just turned 19 when they got married)...anyways, they have been married for almost 29 years and while they have had ups and downs, they have been able to work them out...My dad has always acted younger than people his age and my mom had always been more mature than people her age, so in the long run it has worked out great....
So as I said before its not the age difference so much as the maturity difference that you need to be concerned with.

The gap may in maturity, not in the years of age.

I am at a five year difference with my GF, and it is fine. I am 29, and my GF is 24 so it works. I don't know how young you guys are, but it can work if you both want the same things. Good luck.

I don't think so. If you guys get married the gap will become smaller as you age.

Not at all. Age is just a number and does not necessarily indicate maturity level. Unless one of you is still in high school, then the other is a pathetic perv. If not, go for it.

No not really...it all depends on the person. If you really like this person even if they are younger or older then you..who cares... there are quite alot of ppl that have bigger age range diff. between them and are very happy.
