When our Yorkie escaped from under the fence, she was gone for 2 days. We had left her collar off after her bath (stupid!!) so she had no ID. We put up 50 signs that night with 'reward' on them and her details. No one called. We were so frantic (she is are baby, we felt like we had lost one of our children) I called my husband at work and said, "I am putting up signs with a $500 reward" he said 'do it'! As soon as they were up my phone started ringing!!! People had seen her all over the place, only now, they were interested. Someone caught her, and called us the next day. Yes, I paid the $500, but I think the woman who had her was the only person in my town who would have taken it ! I don't regret it for a second, even though that was a lot of $ for us.
Moral of this story is, if you want your dog back bad enough, the $ will do it.

The first thing I did was look for them. Second thing I did was go to the local animal shelter. The third thing I did was call my vet, hoping maybe someone had picked them up. The fourth thing I did was post signs. Then I called my family and we started a search party for them. We have 2 rotties and about 1 year ago while we were at work my male opened the door and they went for a 7 mile walk by the time we came home. The wonderful lady that found them took them home and called my vet. She called me the next morning. In my eyes she is an angel!!!!! Good luck!

There are many things you could do. The first thing you should do is call your local animal shealter and see if the dog is there, if not then its time to start posting signs around the neiborhood or in your local newspaper. Good luck on finding the dog!

Try your local shelter. Put up signs in the area where you lost your dog and in the area where you live, and anyplace else you can think of. Personally if it were my dog, I would keep looking and hollering for it till I couldn't look anymore.
If you dog is microchipped you have another avenue to search for it as well. Good Luck!

put up posters everywhere including pet stores and vet clinics (with permission of course), ask neighbors, place an ad either in the newspaper or online, contact the local humane shelter, etc.
