My cat is over a year old and yet she is still teething [or else she is evil]. However, she only teeths on me . She will suck and chew on my fingers, and try to run away with them. She chews on the back of the couch where I sit and she kneeds [sp?] and drools all over one of my stuffed animals.
When my mum goes to try to get gnawed on, the cat will snub her.
Is she just in love with me and my stuff? Or is she just cute and crazy?

I have the same problem. My cat was raised by me since she was 2wks old, so I'M the only one she bites. All the signs you describe are signs of love. I got Carrie, my cat her very on stuff animal, those very soft filled ones. Put it on the floor after you rub it all over you then YOU simulate the nursing/kneeding action on her "Boo-Boo baby" (Carrie's stuffed friend) .On your stuffed animals spray a citrus smell , cats don't like it. Good Luck

We have a cat that sounds just like that. From my experiences my cats have never been aggressive when chewing/knawing on my wrist ... just playful fighting. Not drawn blood ... except the nails come out sometimes. If you don't want her to do this, try rubbing citrus oils where you don't want her to chew, it should help deter her. If not (secretly) squirt her with a water bottle when she does it ... it's harmless, but shocks her ... just don't let her see you do it otherwise she will trust you less.

As kittens they knead the mothers stomach to get a better flow of milk. If taken away from her too early kittens tend to keep doing this, and don't outgrow it ... it's for life. She does it because wherever she's doing it she believes it's her mothers belly and feels very very relaxed and at ease. It's best not to move her because she will less at ease. If you really don't want her to drool everyone (because yes, it is gross in a way) then of course move her away each time.

She's not crazy ... just at ease with you and your stuffed animals ... I love when my cats knead on my tummy, or legs ... although I don't get nicked with a nail every now and then.

Cats have a mystique all of their own. As loving and loyal as they can be. They do have little quirks that we have to deal with. I don't think tho that your kitty is still teething. I do think how ever that she really loves you to pieces. When they are taken away from their mums they adopt us humans as their mums. She is probably finding comfort in kneading the couch where you sit. And sucking and chewing on your fingers to me is a sign of affection towards you, her mum. She loves you so much that she is going out of her way to tell you. If she isn't vicious or nasty to any one, especially you, then she is fine. If you are in doubt, take her to your veterinarian and get some advise and answers to your question. I do hope this helps you out a bit.

for particular, my kitten Laska had extensive teething subject concerns. and that they got here lower back on and rancid considering a kitten's tooth do no longer develop without warning. The spray bottle theory didnt' artwork together with her - now she LOVES water. I purely purely redirected her, it grow to be so plenty greater time eating even though it labored. bumped off the two her or the object and finally she have been given bored stiff. I gave her treats and puppy her while she chewed on some thing that grow to be stable for her. i got here across somewhat tiny rubber bite toy pulled on a string labored ultimate for her. stable success. P.S. extremely some teething kittens will consume plastic (i.e. luggage and/or wrappers) which turns into an person cat behaviour so be certain you beware for that - which would be risky.

your cat probably should get trained, or he will grow up to be mean to everyone but you. Get a cat trainer.
