I want to either hide or disable the system tray in windows 98 se OS.Does anyone know registry settings for hide the System tray?
Or is there any other way ?

the first link is for software to hide system tray and/or items in the system tray if you still want to display clock and speaker so it all looks 'normal'...

the second link tells how to hide items in the system tray without tweaking the registry or donloading installing anything...

the last link is to a site with a whole host of software to hide the system tray and/or items in the system tray...

i'd go with the second link myself...

I can't remember if it's there or not, but try doing Start > Run and type in msconfig, click OK, then go to the Startup tab. If it's there, it'll say something like Systray or systemtray, something like that, and uncheck the box then restart the computer. Else you may have to do a registry tweak which is not recommended unless you know exactly what you're doing.
