yes, use the alcohol free kind and wash it out every few days
i do it all the time with shih tzu and maltese topknots, it holds them in place, but you need to wash it out at least every two days or it gets too tacky and will break the hair

The only correct answer is from the groomer guy. I have a book on Maltese dogs. It tells you and shows you how to put human gel in the dog's top knot to hold it in place. If you don't use it, the hair will not stay in the knot. Their fur is like our hair.

My groomer puts gel or other styling products in my schnauzer's eyebrows to help them keep their shape and stay in place. She only uses a tiny amount. Besides, how is he going to lick it off his eyebrows?
I will sometimes put loose mineral powder makeup in my dog's eyebrows to match my outfits. It's non toxic and brushes out. I also sometimes paint his toenails. He doesn't mind any of this and I'm always careful that he doesn't get any makeup in his eyes or that he licks his feet while the polish is wet.

if it is non-toxic it;s OK. When my poodle got old and her white fur turned beige and not pretty, I colored her hair white. I held her in a towel with the solution on, then rinsed well. It worked great. She loved being held.

Is it dog hair gel? if it is put it on like shampoo (without the water).then style it. if its not- DONT DO IT OR YOU HATE YOUR DOG!!! its not helthy and it could be poisinus!
