If i get it done it will be on the top... is that normal??
Can you wear dangle belly button rings on the top...or does it look weird??
How bad does it hurt??
Is it easy to take care of??
Oh and any bad experiences with it splitting open if you get pregnant...even if you take it out as soon as you find out??
(I was talking to a friend that took hers out as soon as she found out she was pregnant and it split open!! While another friend left hers in till like the last month and never had a problem with it!! So...idk??)
Any thing else I need to know...just let me know!!! Thanks!!

Okay I have my belly button pierced.. I actually got it done PROFESSIONALLY when I was 14.. It does not hurt at all. Maybe like a little pinch.. but that's it. So don't work yourself up over it. What do you mean by on the top? The top of your belly button is always where they pierce it and no it does not look stupid with dangly belly button rings I wear them.. My friend actually left her belly button pierced the ENTIRE time she was pregnant and she was very little.. maybe like 5 foot.. 105 pounds and never had a single problem with it.

Nothing is really normal, but the standard navel piercing is on the top, center area of the navel.
Yes you can wear the fancy navel rings, they are made for wear on the top of the navel since its most common placement for the piercing. You will not be able to wear fancy jewelry for at least 6 months. The jewelry you are pierced with needs to remain in place for at least 6 months to ensure proper healing and it will minimize complications.
Everyone is different, so no one can tell you how bad it will hurt. Pain is part of the piercings and all in all its not bad if you just relax.
Its easy to take care of and your piercer should give you after care instructions and a sheet to go along with it. Be sure to take care of it and if you have problems always ask your piercer.
The only time it can split open is if your skin has poor elasticity and if the navel piercing is too shallow it can split however, that is a very uncommon occurrence. Usually women have no problems with the piercing during pregnancy.

Everyone is different, and the body will react different ways. There are new belly rings that you can wear while pregnant that wont cause you to rip also. Generally the piercing goes above the belly button. Yes it hurts, all piercings do. The healing process is a pain, and there will be a scar. Proper care is required to avoid infection, and can be time consuming, considering its one more thing you have to do. Its a commitment thing, its only gonna turn out well if you take care of it, and are prepared to deal with the pain of healing. Good luck.

Some people myself included have theres done on the top nothing abnormal about it .... Its your body the placement is your choice.
Yes you can dangle them in my opinion it looks better with top piercings.
It only feels like a hard pinch. The worst part about getting any piercing is the discomfort of the clamps it takes away from the actual pain of the needle going through your skin.
Yes it is easy to take care of . Heals generally fast .
Its always best to take it out when you are pregnant just in case you grow very big it can cause it to rip out or strech the hole . Again it is a personal choice. If you have had the piercing for some time you can take it out with out the hole closeing.
You wouldnt half to take it out immediatly either about when you are 4 months.

OK. The top is normal, and dangle jewlery looks just fine there. It feels like a bee sting to me, the peircing did not hurt much, but it did hurt when they put the jewlery in the hole.

They say it can take up to a year for it to heal. Mine still gets sore sometimes if I get it caught or whatever.

I have had mine for abuot 2 years, and I love it.

#1- you have to be of legal age to get it done.
top is normal
don't know how it looks
i passed out with mine
my body rejected it, lost it in toilet (no joke)
the whole "splitting open" thing probably has to do with the elasticity of your skin. you should take it out when you're pregnant, just for health reasons. plus, your belly button turns to an "outie" soon anyway.

be careful, and go to a clean, sterile place.

I had to take mine out when I was six months pregant because it did start to tear. And also, even though I took it out, i got wierd stretch marks there during my last few weeks of pregnancy. The whole closed up and now it all looks funny because the skin is kinda saggy there. But I guess it is probably different with everyone.

it doesn't hurt doing it
it gets infected easily even if you clean it..it gets bumped alot
everyone gets in pierced from the top
it hurts alot after its done
it you have skin that doesn't have good elasticity piercing is not for you..the skin will strech pulling on the piercing resulting in scar tissue forming and infection will happen because the hole will get larger making it easier for bacteria to enter..its a foreign object ur body will naturally reject it..its better if you have a flat stomach and don't wear any pants touching it for 6 months..its looks sexy and cute and you can't wear anything touching it for 6 months...u have to take it out when u get pregnant because how i discussed above with the skin streching..thats what happened to me also you can be allergic to nickel or even allergic to industrial stainless steel that also happened to me..i had to take mine out now i have a huge scar..i wish it had worked out for me..you won't know until u try it out and see..worst situation is u need to remove it...

I have had my belly ring done 3 times and its no big deal,I took mine out when I was pregnant though. It is best to clean it with unscented soap like dove, and put ointment on it .
and no swimming for 3 months or changing it out ,can cause infection, also you can call a local body Peircer and they will give you info
