i mean doesn't the shampoo and conditioner moisturize your scalp for you already????

Shampoo doesn't moisturize the hair. But what it does is just add that extra moisture and protection to your hair.

I always thought it was to help repair damaged hair.

Goodness, hot oil is the very last thing my hair needs. That oil wouldn't get out of my hair and scalp until after about 100 shampoos! It has always sounded to me like a gimmick, someone's idea to get people to buy more products, really, who needs that oil on their hair.

It's if you have a really fry scalp that's why and you need some extra treatment

it puts oil into the hair shaft to condition it. if you have dry hair, then it helps.
