Channel your dog's energy into something fun for the two of you. Try agility or flyball. I have an energetic mini schnauzer (also a terrier) who is exhausted after agility and flyball classes.
Have you ever owned a terrier before? Most tend to be rather hyper dogs, especially if they don't have something to do or somewhere to channel their energy.
Terriers=holy terrors!

You might be SOL. Any kind of terrier is going to have a lot of energy and some are more energetic than others. You may just have to accept that you have a hyper dog and either get over it and deal or get a different dog.

Exercise. Exercise. Exercise. Terriers, in general, are an active breed. They need lots of exercise and will get it one way or another. Try playing fetch and going for a walk twice a day.

Feed it a half-hit of LSD. That will permanently cure it of any hyperactivity.
