I have really improved in my singing and I want to show my crush. But I don't think he is going to listen because of the last time I saw him. I had a CD player with me at the time. Then I started singing. He told me to stop. But I think if I don't put on headphones he will LOVE my singing. It is a lot better now.

But I'm not sure if he would like it.
What makes your voice good?
Anything but water please!!!!!

First of all, you are right if you didnt have the headphones on, you would sound better. People have a tendency to not sound as good with headphones on, because they cant hear themselves as well, so they can hit some off notes, where as normally, they could hit them fine. If you get a voice teacher, they can train you, and help you know how to control you voice ect, but since you said you have really improved on your singing, im assuming you already have a voice teacher. Warming up before you sing for others is also very helpful, it gives you a better range of the notes you can hit. Also, not eating or drinking dairy products before you perform (especially milk) can help you improve your voice, because the dairy creates more mucus, clogging your throat, and making it harder to sing. If you lose your voice, there are other tactics you can go about, such as drinking hot tea with lemon in it, and eating a LOT of honey can help to bring your voice back....it wont bring you back to perfect, but it will help you get for your back a little bit for your performances. I hope i helped you. Good luck impressing your crush! :)

Have someone you know who is honest listen to you sing and tell you if it is actually good.

Voice lessons, staying away from caffeine, singing and plugging your nose periodically (if it sounds different when plugged, your voice is too nasally), staying away from chocolate, not singing when you are on the first two days of your period, and having good pitch and the right song.

You may not be a good singer. It's something you're born with for the most part. Seek a good opinion of your voice from someone unbiased before you sing to your crush.

if you want to show him you've improved then don't tell you have, just in case he doesn't think so . just randomly start to sing. if he tells you to stop again then you still suck and you've saved yourself the major embarrassment of telling him that you're going to be good then when you sing it sounds bad.
to make sure your voice sound better don't eat dairy for at least a few hours, the longer the better. dairy causes mucus build up in the throat and clogs the sound of your voice. eat citrus, the acid helps to clear the mucus in your throat. and drink warm (not to hot) water to sooth the vocal cords. remember the vocal cords are mussels and preform better when they are warmed up. sing a few short songs like happy birthday or the national amthem, then sing a few scales (do re mi fa so la ti do) and try to enclude the highest and the lowest notes of your range.
p.s. warm ups don't always sound to pretty, so warm up before you sing to him

practice makes your voice better if you think it is good then just sing near your crush not exactly to him then if it is good he will notice and if it isnt the greatest he might not even realize you were singing in the first place so dont worry and just sing
