if you catch your puppy in the act you can scold and show disapproval, please don't yell or spank. if you catch him having a bowel movement grab a paper towel, pick it up and pick the puppy up and take them both outside and place the poop where you want him to learn to go. as you take him outside with the poop talk to him in a way that hieknows you are unhappy. i always say 'no, no, that is bad , poop outside..outside!' After i feed them i take them out and guide them to a certain spot and say 'outside' and praise and clap and hoot and holler and jump all over the place if they do their business there! it worked with my two dogs...one is a full blood toy poodle and one is a mix of chiuaua/rat terrior.
good luck and keep on lovin' that baby!

I have a little pekenise poodle mix and she is seven years old...
we are very strict and she is well trained in tricks, and obedience... but when she has to go, she does so wherever she wants! So good luck with that!

Also, my dog as a "piddling" problem, she tinkles when she gets excited (lol) and she can't help it...hope it's not a breed thing.

it takes a while for your puppy to learn how to potty train. so its your job to teach your puppy as much as possible. you will have to be patient with your puppy. good luck!
