I've put aloe vera gel on it, and it seems to be working right now. However, I'm not going to get some weird side effects of using this in the morning, right? What are some other remedies that get rid of dry flaky skin quickly?

If you have psoriasis use palmer's shea butter,it help my flaking dry skin. I don't think that you will get side effect on aloe vera. Have you heard about JJJ papaya peeling cream from HongKong? It is a great cream it can make your face so smooth, you can buy these in oriental stores..

It is best to go by your skin type..Whether its..dry, oily,or combination..You should use a product that is good for your skin type...I have dry skin ..and I actually use Oil of Oilay..but my skin is also sensitive...I'm not sure if this would work for flaky skin..but it helps with my dry face..
