Jesus christ founded only one Church, and He said clearly that there were to be no others. He founded that Church 2,000 years ago. Therefore, if that Church still exists (and it must, for He said He would be with it until the end of time), it must be able to demonstrate a 2,000 year history, with documents by that Church and documents about that Church in every century back to the Apostles. So, the first thing you have to do to identify the true Church of Jesus Christ is make a list of all existing churches that meet this essential requirement. It's a short list. Only one Church on earth, the Holy Catholic Church, can clearly demonstrate its historical presence in every century from the present directly back to the Apostles. Case closed.

The Catholic Chuch was the only Christian Church in existence for the first 1500 years of modern era history, and it was founded personally by Jesus Christ.
Unless you believe Jesus founded a false church, then you must believe the Catholic Church is the true church.
If that is the case, the Catholic Church will remain the true church until the end of time, solely due to the promises and assurances of God.
There is no way around this, as Jesus founded only ONE church, and the late day protestant reformers did what they did with absolutely no authority from God.
Supposed or actual corruption provides no excuse to separate one's self from the true church and start another.

I think so..... Catholics after all are the original source of Christianity.
After doing a lot of research on my own, I became a Catholic. Since I already believed in Jesus, I wanted to find the most Christian church. I chose Catholic because it is the original Christian church.
As a little background to this, Jesus created the first Pope when He said to Peter:
"I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it." - Matthew 16:18.
Peter was therefore the first Pope, or Holy Father and each successor Pope was chosen until today. There is actually a trace of all the Pope's (Holy Fathers) in the church back to Peter.
I like the church, and since it is the original source, I can trust more in how the Bible is interpreted and what Christ wanted for His church on earth. Also I like that I can go to any country or state and visit a Catholic church and I will get the same mass no matter where I am. But most of all, I like the Eucharist which is eating the bread and drinking the blood (wine) of Christ at every mass.
The Catholic church was also given authority on earth when Jesus said to Peter:
Matthew 16:19
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."
Of course Protestants broke from the church about 500 years ago and now there are literally hundreds of Christian churches. Now, I would be the last one to criticize other Christian churches because the thing that matters the most is a faith in Christ and living a Christian life which is hard to do. But the good news is that Jesus is about peace and love and forgives sinners.

No. Each individual Christian is the true Church. I believe there is a reason for the different denominations. One being, if there were "one true church", it could lead to abuse and deceit. According the the scriptures during the tribulation period there will be one world wide church led by the false prophet. This cannot be possible until after the true church is taken away via the rapture. There are so many trivial differences in the mainstream Christian Church, that we could not agree on a single Church that is absolutely correct. And this is sort of a good thing. The truth is out there. Its up to each individual to find the truth. The only way to do this is to study the scriptures and find a Church Group that has similar beliefs. It takes study and guidance by the Holy Spirit to find such a Church.

Yes. Because it´s founded by Jesus Christ who is "the truth and the life" (Jn. 14:6) , who promised that "the gates of hell will not prevail against it " (Mt. 16:18) (even though its members may fail at times) and also that "I am with you always until the end of time" (Mt. 28:20)
If it is not, then Christ would not have kept his promise.
If it is not, which of the 30,000 protestant and evangelical denominations founded 1500 years after Christ is the true church? (None because they do not agree with each other in one or more points, so no one has the whole truth- see Luther´s quote below)
The Church Fathers say it:
•St. Athanasius (360 AD): "let us note that the very tradition, teaching, and faith of the Catholic Church from the beginning, which the Lord gave, was preached by the Apostles, and was preserved by the Fathers. On this was the Church founded; and if anyone departs from this, he neither is nor any longer ought to be called a Christian .... "Four Letters to Serapion of Thmius 1, 28.
•Origen (c. 230 AD) "The teaching of the Church has indeed been handed down through an order of succession from the Apostles, and remains in the Churches even to the present time. That alone is to be believed as the truth which is in no way at variance with ecclesiastical and apostolic tradition." Fundamental Doctrines 1, preface, 2.
St. Augustin is very clear on it:
• "The Catholic Church is the work of Divine Providence, achieved through the prophecies of the prophets, through the Incarnation and the teaching of Christ, through the journeys of the Apostles, through the suffering, the crosses, the blood and death of the martyrs, through the admirable lives of the saints .... When, then, we see so much help on God's part, so much progress and so much fruit, shall we hesitate to bury ourselves in the bosom of that Church? For starting from the apostolic chair down through successions of bishops, even unto the open confession of all mankind, it has possessed the crown of teaching authority." The Advantage of Believing 35.
• “For my part, I should not believe the gospel except as moved by the authority of the Catholic Church."- Against the Epistle of Manichaeus called Fundamental, chapter 4: Proofs of the Catholic Faith
• “And so, lastly, does the name itself of Catholic, which, not without reason, amid so many heresies, the Church has thus retained; so that, though all heretics wish to be called Catholics, yet when a stranger asks where the Catholic Church meets, no heretic will venture to point to his own chapel or house” - Against the Epistle of Manichaeus called Fundamental, chapter 4: Proofs of the Catholic Faith
And even Luther admitted it:
• in his Commentary on St. John, chapter 16, “We are compelled to concede to the Papists that they have the Word of God, that we received it from them, and that without them, we should have no knowledge of it at all.”
•and this is a quote from his letter to fellow "reformer" Heinrich Zwingli: "There are almost as many sects and beliefs as there are heads; this one will not admit Baptism; that one rejects the Sacrament of the altar; another places another world between the present one and the day of judgment; some teach that Christ is not God. There is not an individual, however clownish he may be who does not claim to be inspired by the Holy Ghost, and who does not put forth as prophecies his ravings and dreams." (doesn´t this sound like what the 30,000 denominations are?)

I'm not Catholic, so no.
If there is a one true church, it's likely not in N.A, as generally, sad to say, we need a lot more faith and a lot less compromises over here. and if I may share my opinion, these are what makes a NON-true church...
1) a church that condones or compromises with sin
2) a church that discourages people with having a relationship with God themselves
3) a church that has no love (God's love, genuine caring, empathy)
4) a church that refuses to be brotherly to fellow believers for minor differences
5) a church that believes it is above Christ's instructions or adds onto what Christ said
6) a church that is "luke-warm"
7) a church that is fearful, surrendering (other than to God), and tries to copy the ways of the world
8) a church that teaches people not to prosper in any God-ordained area
9) a church that does not treat its members fairly or equally
10) a church that has demonic influence

YES. The Roman Catholic Church , headed by the Pope. Do not let Father "K" mislead you. He is with the Anglican Church and not the Catholic Church although he tries to be Catholic, he is not.

By "true" church, do you mean the ONLY church that proclaims the true word of God?
Then my answer is noooooooooooooooo.
There is not even one church in the world today that has a monopoly on the truth. Not one. It doesn't matter how old the religion is ... if it is man-made or man-interpreted, then it is very subject to error.
God did not make religion. MAN made religion. Religion and truth are not necessarily the same thing. Religion is a creed based on interpretation of whatever (holy books, scriptures, etc.) The truth is simply "what is" and that can only be found within one's heart. Religion is a "guide" but it is not God.
A church is simply a group of people professing a CHOSEN belief system.

The institution of the Catholic Church, meaning the priests, bishops, Popes, etc. no
The people, provided they follow Christ and have an inward and outward conversion, then yes.
The "true Church" is not a building or institution, but a people. Some who infiltrate the building of the church and pose as members are nothing but liars and hypocrites who will not escape judgment.
