no even asking the question is offensive.. now people usually can only be on welfare for a lifetime limit of three years..many have had problems that place them in this situation..usually the amount extra tey receive for an additional child is very small (about $50)..plus they are expected to work or be in training program.
Why don't people ever talk about corporate welfare which we pay thousands of dollars a year per taxpayer more for. I would much rather help poor children who are the primary beneficiary of welfare over giving some multi billion dollar corporation another fre million to raise their ceo's salaries already about $3000 times the average employee in the company.
People who hate welfare recipients are usually republicans who taut their mopral superiority and Christianity and who neglect the fact that Jesus said to love and help the poor. In fact, He talked about it more than any other topic except salvation. He said to do unto others as you would ike done unto you and that love is the most important thing..if you have all the faith in the world and can move mountain but have not love, you have nothing. Try putting yourself in their place for a moment..something in your life puts you into this situation like a divorce and no one will hire yo or some medical bills or something and people who know nothing about your situation want you sterilized..how would you feel about that..would you feel your rights are being trampled on? Would you feel loved? Someday these people who judge and criticize people on welfare will have to give an account when the Lord says I was hungry and you didn't care and what you did to them (as there are no favorites with God) you did to me. Change your attitude now before that day comes and love people and stop your judging, people.

No, but steps should be taken to make sure the money goes where it is needed - to the children - for food, subsidized day care, clothing stipends, subsidized rent, etc, in the form of vouchers, not cash. Giving people a check every month when they are making no attempt to better their station in life is counterproductive. Welfare is meant to be temporary assistance, not a lifelong entitlement.
The vast majority of welfare recipients are honest people who have had a run of bad luck - through divorce, illness, job loss, etc. With every government system, however, the potential for abuse is high. I believe we should help those in need to better their situation (that is what I was brought up to believe), not ridicule them behind their back when they break out the EBT card at the supermarket.
What I find interesting is that the people who complain most about "welfare people" having more babies are the pseudo-Christian Right, who also oppose abortion, sex education that teaches anything but abstinance-only, and free access to birth control and RU486.

YES, I definitely agree with you I though I was the only one who though that way. Why I agree with you is because people on welfare tend to have more kids then people who work and support themselves and their families. People on welfare depend on the government to support their kids thats why they keep having them. But if they knew how hard it is to work and support their families they sure would not have that many kids. These people on welfare settle for less well not all but the majority do. Others just take the help for a bit and then support themselves by working on their own. I believe the government should send a women to tie her tubes cut and burn them after two kids. The government is to blame for so many kids growing disfunctional because they keep supporting the woman and their kids and sometimes even the husband HOW RIDICULOUS!

YES, no one on welfare should have more than 3 kids. There's a family out here with 7 kids on welfare that's no way for kids to grow up.

Of course not. Who are you to tell someone what to do with their bodies? There are already limits in place when it comes to welfare. The people who shouldn't have been allowed to reproduce are George H.W. and Barbara Bush.

No, but if they aren't, they shouldn't get paid for every new kid. They are having kids just so they can get money.
