Ok, my cousin said he wants to kill himself because he's a horrible person. I told him he's not, but he said he was talking to a girl online for a year under the impression she was 18, he's 22, she told him after a year of talking that she's really 14 and he wanted to call it off, his first instinct was this is wrong, but then she threatened to kill herself coz she said she couldn't live without him, she said she lied bout her age so he would keep talkin to him, he said he has feelings for this girl and she told him nothings changed, she's still the same person, but he was afraid if he hurt her she'd have an easy time getting revenge, so he kept it up for a while longer until she dumped him, now he feels like a horrible person, but I told him he was duped into feeling for this person and was stuck in a bad situation and she's the dumb ***** who should pay, but I guess all the holier then thou jerks out there would be quick to burn him at the stake huh? I wonder if anyone understands?

He must be a really sweet guy. She should be the one feeling bad for deceiving him in the first place. She lied to him about her age and she led him on for a whole year. That's a waste of time. And yet, he blames himself for it and even thinks he's a horrible person.
Tell him that it wasn't his fault. That he was actually the vicitim in the whole situation because she tricked him. And she doesn't know what love is, cause if she had loved him, she wouldn't have let him get deeper involved with her, without him knowing the truth. She wouldn't have let him get hurt! :[
Calm him down, watch out for him, be there, always encouraging. I took my friend out of a suicidal situation. Give him advice little by little, not all at once. Show him you love him and hang out with him. Seriously, you don't want him doing something stupid for that one girl.

Revenge is never the answer. She was wrong for leading him on a lying. He should be happy he found out before he got himself into trouble. These kind of girls are not worth you time, and they only give others a bad name. Tell him that he is a good person and he will meet someone who loves him soon. don't judge every woman/girl like these bad girls. Life is too short to live with regret so don't do anything you will regret. Only time can heal a broken heart and his will be happy when he meets the right woman not girl. Take care Heather

No offence but at 22 he should have enough sense to know that he could have been talking to a 70 yr old woman and not know it.
How do you form a super loving relationship over the Internet without ever meeting them?
Tell him to forget the 14 yr old it's not his problem. Change his email etc.. She's just saying that so that he won't stop talking to her. Does he intend to fall in love with her in another 6 years?
Your cousin sounds like a pervert or a loser. How could he have feelings without ever meeting a person? If she had one eye in the middle of her forehead would he feel the same way

Ok, here's what I see...he had no way of knowing how old she was to start with...which is why he needs to be VERY careful whom he starts these online romances with. She was wrong to lie to him, if she is that desperate for company, there's something wrong. And if he's so goofy as to let himself develop feelings (I hesitate to use the word love here) for some disembodied person he meets online, he's looking for heartbreak. Anyway, he should not feel bad that she dumped him, he should feel lucky! Yes it is bad when we think we know someone and they turn out to be totally not what we think, but far better to have it happen now than later. I agree, he should definitely change his addy so she can't find him online again. And learn a lesson from this...you never know WHO is behind the addy you are baring your soul to.

what she did was wrong. He should have stopped it though, regardless, she wouldn't have killed herself over a guy online, and if she really would, he should have called her parents as soon as he found out how old she was. If he didn't know then it's not really his fault she lied. Plus, they would have been able to keep the psycho from killing herself. He's not totally to blame, but they both could have done things differently

Tell your cousin thats how life goes. Don't take one mistake as an excuse to kill yourself. Say that its not his fault that the girl lied about her age and just started talking to him. She should have common sence not to get in to a relationship over the internet. i mean common *no offence to your cuzin* but y would you have an relationship over the internet. i think its no point cuz its going to leave yourself feeling all weird with mixed emotions. so tell your cousin that there is alot of things in life that he hasn't seen. so don't take that one 14 yr. old. slut an excuse to die. there is no point on doint that. so i wish your cuzin and you good luck.

Please tell your cousin that there are better days in front of him and that he had learned a great lesson about his intincts and how smart and persceptive he is. Some people lie and deceive. But somewhere in his spirit he knew she was not telling him the truth. That makes him Good not horrible. Encourage him to hang on and hang in.

This is why it is so important to be careful about who you meet on line. He did the right thing breaking off with her and, if he is smart, he will change his e-mail address so she can't find him again.
