Was anybody rooting for them? I wasn't. I was actually betting that if a 'yota came out in front that it would have been ran off the track. I was hoping that the three Toyotas would finish 41, 42, and 43.

A Toyota assembled in America made of foriegn parts and designed in Japan, and the profits made from such vehicle go to Japan, is not American. 75% of the money spent on a Camry leaves America, where as 75% of the money on a Fusion, Charger, or Monte Carlo stays in America. When you understand the details, you will understand that buying a Ford GM or Chrysler is better for your fellow Americans than buying a Toyota. We might as well cut a check that says Japan on it when we buy foriegn made goods.

I think the Toyota is the only American made car on the track.

The Camry is made in Kentucky.

If I am not mistaken, the Monte Carlo and the Charger are made in Canada. I think the Fusion is made in Mexico.

Its a pretty sad day when a Japanese brand is the only American made car on the track.

I root for the drivers..not the cars and since one of my drivers (Go DJ) was in a Toyota, yes I guess I rooting for one...
Funny, out of all the cars in Nascar, the Toyota is the only one made here in the United States... Whats the difference whether a car is designed by Japan and manufactured by Americans or a car is designed by Americans and made elsewhere, with plenty of Japanese parts?? A car is a car, especially in Nascar, where the only difference these days is the driver and the body.. The chassis are so similiar that it doesn't make much of a difference

I root for drivers more than cars. Plus all of the cars are built alot alike but with different decals on them to make them look like a Ford, Dodge or a Chevy. The motors are all custom so that is a mute point also. It is not like back in the day when the King drove a Dodge with the big wing on the back that no one else had.

Toy's will find their niche. Might take awhile, though. Mikey may not win alot of races...but he has finished in the top 10 fairly consitantly in other brands. Can argue with statistics, folks.

As for that retard making comments about "2 Chineese poeple..."
Such ignorance...probably one of those KKK wannabe white supremacy jerk-offs....he's gotta bunk waiting on him in a prison somewhere. Hope his "cellie" is a BIG black queer man with a 12 inch tool.

Well they did better than my favorite driver.
Toyotas were #44-22,#55-30,#23-34,#00-40.

It's Early in they're Cup days. They're not gonna win races or Championships, more importantly, until they get some better drivers. But dont get me wrong, I want to see them succeed. But I bet in the next few years, they'll switch over one of the big teams (Gibbs, Hendrick, RCR, probably not Rousch) over to Toyotas, then they'll really make it big.

Toyota will be kicking Big Three and NASCAR butt soon so I wouldn't hold your breath. There are many instances of underhanded attempts to muscle Toyota out of NASCAR but it isn't going to happen. They will do the same thing to NASCAR that they did to the US automarket, dominate.

The Toyotas will never dominate. Sure, they may be made here but because it's on american soil doesn't really make it an american car. If two chinese people have a baby in the U.S. it's not really american.

Sure wasn't. Too bad junior and smoke both wrecked.

I was going to comment on JRR's post, but idiotic statements like that aren't even worth debating.

i'm guessing you consider yourself American. does that mean you're American Indian? do you live on a reservation? or are they not American either?
What makes someone American? Please explain.
