Well most people that are thinking of suicide, usually do not ever quit thinking about it , even when they get better, or well, they have had those thoughts for so long, that they just stay with them, you do not for get the plans that you make for suicide, but you should not share them or tell them to anyone else excited a therapist. Believe me you really do not want to do it, it is just a thought that keeps coming back, and u really need to fight that thought, so it does not get the best of you , you need to keep thinking positive, any time you get that negative thinking you need to really change it to positive, and keep it positive,, and i am not saying think positive of the nagative thoughts you may be have, that would be worse, cause you would just be saying it is ok, you have to say it is not ok and think positive, and turn it around, if you can not do it along, call a crisis line, or er, or someone, and talk till you are feeling better. But please do not give in to those wishes of suicide.

Lack of medication or the wrong medication. Brains of people with depression do not function as those without depression do. Some people have seratonin issues, which anti-depressants can help.
If the person is currently taking an anti-depressant and has done so for a couple of weeks with no improvement, chances are the medication they've been prescribed is not the one for them.
Remember - depression is often something the person cannot help. Other medication (heart medications, blood pressure medications, etc.) can also contribute to depression. Be sure a good doctor knows EVERYTHING the person is taking - legal or illegal.

The desire to not have to live through this painful time in your life. It sometimes seems "Wouldn't it be easier" if someone accidentally ran me over with their car? I know how you feel. Please talk to a Dr........ I TRULY felt I had NO reason to live (for the last 2 years, I have done NOTHING but hide in my bedroom under the covers and HATE every moment of my life...) I FINALLY found some help (only 2 weeks ago) and I cannot even begin to tell you how different I feel. I was just put on Cymbalta and I feel like a normal person. No wild ups or downs. Just "Cool" as if Everything is going to be totally FINE!!!!! It is AMAZING. I truly want you to be able to say these same things to someone else in the next few weeks.........
Seriously. Do you want me to help you find someone to talk to?
One session is all it takes to get the ball rolling. PLEASE.
Do this for yourself. It is worth it.
You can look at Psychiatrist Profiles on Psychologytoday.com
You can also email me.
You are not alone and I will help you.

I so agree with the other posters, the brain is out of whack!! Finding the right medications can make you feel like coming out of the dark, evil clouds. Try it just once or twice, it may take awhile to find the right one. Researchers are always finding new ways to help.
For me, I just didn't care anymore. I felt there is no reason for me to exist anymore. I ruined my life cuz of brain illness. People say things will change, and they do, but I doubt it to how I want it. I want what I once had.
Of course, situational and circumstances may be a big reason you feel overwhelmed and make you want to check out for good.
You may think that if "they" would just do "___" things for me would be allright. You may think if you are not here, you would not hurt or hurt them. You may not know how in the world you will deal with this. You may find many, many ways to justify that suicide is the right thing. You may have lost the HOPE and a DREAM to fight things.
Someone told me, "it does not take courage to die, It takes courage to stay alive"
You may long for peace and just tired of feeling unwanted, rejected or having no one to turn to. You can find that and find a reason to live. You must convience yourself that you really ARE worthy, You deserve to live. If this means counselor, therapist, doctor, friends, forums online and support groups. You want people to hear your thoughts and not be judgemental, not think you are crazy or stupid. You're not!!

It is not a matter of wishing for suicide.
Sometimes it just seems to be the only way one can stop the pain.
However, once the deed is done all options are over.
As long as one lives changes for the better can come.
And sometimes from the most surprising sources.

I think they believe it will end there sorrow. They don't want to keep living the way they are. They believe death is a peaceful state. They won't have to feel anything if they're dead. Some also think their problem makes other people sad. So ending their life will give their loved ones freedom. It's all about an end. An end to all that makes them feel so depressed . An end to them making other people worry about them.
