yes and no. If she dated this guy for a long time they probably had a great bond, and being able to be friends with him still is important to her. However, if she is putting him before you then there is a problem. It is very difficult to be "best friends" with an ex boyfriend because there are always feelings there even if you are broken up and technically 'moved on'. It depends on how long she dated this guy and how long ago they broke up. If she dated him for more than a year and broke up only a few months ago watch out because you may just be a rebound. Truthfully it is really all in the situation and no two are exactly alike. You should really talk it out with her. Make sure she is putting you before her ex and ask her if she still has relationship feelings for her ex. If so, it's probably best that she's not dating you right now. Talk it out and be sensitive to what she is saying. Listen carefully because she may not be completely direct if she's trying not to hurt your feelings, but you'll know.

Absolutely not. It's just a silly coping mechanism on the part of the girl, meaning, she still couldn't get over her past relationship.

Being friends with an ex is just fine, but only to the extent of being civil with him or her. If you bumped into each other, you say your "hi's and hello's and wazzups". But to maintain close and regular contact with an ex, especially if you're already dating someone new, is a big no-no. It's unfair to your new partner unless the latter is dumb enough to allow it.

Yes, it's possible. I wouldnt read too much into it. There are a lot of relationships that dont work out for reasons as little as they found they worked better just as friends and want to go back to that. Amazingly enough, it IS possible to be friends again after that. If this continues to make you uncomfortable, talk to her about it. If she tells you theres nothing going on, trust her word.

Absolutely. You need to be sure, however, that they are nothing more than best friends. I try to be good friends with my exes, and am especially close to one. You might not have to worry about it, though. If she's dating you, she's dating you for a reason. Don't be nervous about her past or your own. Live in the now.

It's totally possible. One of my closest friends ever is my ex. Just because it didn't work out between them as a couple doesn't mean that they can't be friends. Just make sure she isn't blowing off her other friends to be with him all the time. Shoot for the staars!! =D

yes. i have an ex who i'm still close to. we were friends before we dated....and when it fizzled because we sort of just went back to being friends....we just remain friends. nothing happens but hanging out...but i still "love" him as my friend, he knows me better than pretty much anyone, but yeah it's possible. quit being so insecure.
