Because some people don't believe he made us in his own image. If you really believe that he made us in his own image then you will be a very happy and healthy person. The key to this is strongly believing and accepting the concept of being God's image and therefore a perfect person. And just so you know only a very small percentage of the population has the desire to kill people and is stupid, you are inferring in your question that everyone is bloodthirsty and stupid. I have no desire to kill people and I am very smart and for that reason your questions validity is suspect.

Not all people are stupid and not all have the desire to kill. Adam was made in God's image, we're made in Adam's image. The difference there being that God doesn't sin. Adam & Eve did and so do we.

I don't really have a desire to kill. It has crossed my mind but it doesn't run my life. If you have that strong of a desire to kill, you should probably talk to a shrink and not worry so much about being in God's image. That's the least of your concerns

When God made man in his image, it meant that he made man to function in three different realms. The heavenly (spiritual) realm in which God the Father manifest Himself, the physical realm in which God the Son manifest Himself, and the heart/soul realm in which God the Holy Spirit manifest himself. God formed a body, breathed into it his breath (Hebrew word "spirit") and it became a living soul. Three parts for three realms.

This also meant that man had the moral ability to choose to follow God's way, or not. Without the ability to make moral choices, we would have no contact with the spiritual realm.

Too often, people choose to do stupid and harmful things. But that is not God's fault. He has , and continues, to warn us against those chooses. He didn't make us stupid - we do that to ourselves when we do not listen to Him.

God killed more people in the Old Testament than he saved. God kills people all the time for no particular reason. If we're made in his image, why should human beings be any different, or any smarter?

God made everything in her own image, because God IS everything. Deity is imnmanent and manifest, everywhere in the universe, at all times.

ok, if you take it literally we were made is his own image, not in his own mentality, God also gave all mankind the freedom of choice and that being the case some people choose to be stupid, vulgar, and violent.

In the beginning, we didn't need brains :) so his image was enough. After we were corrupted and tossed out of Eden, the pressures of life and the evils of our ways led us to be unnatural in our thoughts and actions. Just a thought?!?

He didn't. He created us to have free will and the knowledge is out there, but in this day and age, people are lazy and they don't read anymore. All they do is sit at home, snack, and look at porn. But on the flipside, there are many people out there who are wise, intelligent, and do a lot to make a difference.

The main attribute of likeness is complete freedom. We are absolutely free to make choices. Since the fall of Adam our minds don't see properly and we make wrong choices more often than the right ones.

Also: thank Satan for helping us to make some of them.

Most people don't want to kill people. Most people don't rape other people. And so on.

People are stupid, the individual has the potential to be quite intellegent, though.

Otherwise... well, you can't win BlackJack everytime...
