My ex said she loved me so much she would die for me. I wasn't sure if she was sincere, so I pretended to trip in front of a bus while we were crossing the street. She pushed me out of the way--I could have made it myself--then was struck and killed.

Was that wrong of me?

I think that was too drastic of a call for attention. Women generally say what they mean and mean what they say in regards to love. If you don't believe her for whatever reason, maybe it's you who needs to do some soul searching and really think about why you don't believe her.
