after training with a protein supplement or amino acids pills, etc. for an optimum anabolic effect post workout the ratio of protein to carbs should be from 1:3 to 1:4. the body only needs a small amount of protein after training to start the recovery process so 15-20 grams is fine for most people. so with 20 grams of protein you would want to take 60 grams of dextrose. you can also split the carbs post workout using 50% dextrose and 50% maltodextrin.

make sure to consume another meal of whole foods about 1-1.5 hours after consumption of the post workout shake...
