I am 32 and i am interested greatly in god? I have a hard time defining god in interpersonal relationships. I can still remember some of the things i was taught as a child and how it effected me.
Golden rule and ten commandments. There really is so much to explore and learn. I wish i would have been more empathetic through adolescence. Good Question provokes thought.

Read the Bible for yourself if youre interested in learning about GOD.
This way you dont get one person, or one groups perspective, and they cant lead you this way and that when they try to pull out parts of verses and use them out of context.
The only aim of any religious group should be to teach its followers that the True Church of GOD is within ones Heart

I like to learn about God also.
My father in Heaven is more real to me than the father who was killed when I was 5.
I loved my earthly father and used to hate my Heavenly father for taking him and then my baby brother when I was 7. I now am thankful for these tragedies. I am thankful because I learned the answers and I now appreciate life.

Role model? He murders children, condones slavery, rape, mass murder, human sacrifice and unspeakable torture. This is your role model? I suggest you go back and read the bible in its entirety and not just the rosy hand picked passages promoted by your church or parents or whoever is brainwashing you.
