I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years, since high school. We broke up about a month ago because I kissed another guy who I have been friends with for over 2 years. My ex-boyfriend wants to get back together with me; however, I am torn because this other guy and I have become close and throughout the entire time I have know him he has told me he has feelings for me, but last week he told me he is in love with me I cannot be caught in the middle any longer, and do not know what to do because I cannot figure out my true feelings...am i missing out on a good opportunity by going back out with my boyfriend, or is the other guy simply infatuated and only thinks he is in love with me? Help!

There are a series of questions that you must ask yourself. 1. Why did you and your boyfriend break up? What will be different to prevent a future break-up?
And with this new guy I noticed you said he told you he was in love with you, but do you love him?
If you don't then remember the cliche, Never leave the one you love for the one you like for the one you like will leave you for the one they love.
Also why is this friend of yours single? How long has he been single? You need to question both guys' intentions. You need to take your time too because rushing into a decision could leave you with the loser.
I think most importantly you need to question your ex boyfriend. You need to be sure he is sincere and not just getting back at you because he is lonely or horny. Once you investigate the situation then you must make a decision. i believe that you may already know the answer, but sometimes humans are afraid to speak the truth for the fear that we might hurt someone. Well in this sitaution, all is fair in love and someone will be hurt. Don't let it be YOU!

If you absolutely must choose one of them...
I would go out with your ex. Having such a long term relationship is a plus...also, if that other guy you kissed was honestly just a friend, you should get back together.

ok gurl i just got out this situation i kno your the one who ****** up the last relationship with your ex bc you wanted to be with your friend if you will cheat on your boifriend with your friend obviouly you didnt love your boifriend as much as you thought you did take another chance at love give te other guy a chance bc if your willin to cheat on your boifriend with him then your willin to do it agian..then you will hurt him agian tell him yall have to let go of each other i kno yall have been together along time and you think that you dont just wanna throw it all away but your not look back he has taught you things but its just not meant to be and take what he has taught you and make it better with the new guy believe me you will be really happy!

I would not choose either. Both of these guys may be great but you are not going to be good for anyone of them since you can't choose. step away from this, at least for awhile. Maybe you can make a better decision after you have been separated for awhile.

I think you need a time out before you choose. Go to a secluded place by yourself and allow yourself to think.... Don't rush. Think who is the one you can't live without, the one whom you think you can accept even if their worst selves show up, the one you're willing to give your all. Don't rush, alright?
