you wouldnt have to ask that if yu had VISTA it only came ut 2 weeks ago and only the new ones have it and it tells you what is n it when you buy it

If it's more than 2 or 3 weeks old, you don't have Vista. Otherwise look for the official hologram sticker with your serial number from Microsoft. If you are thinking of upgrading, you need to know if your laptop is Vista-Ready. see http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/default.mspx

If it doesn't come with Vista preinstalled it most likely isn't. Personally I don't plan on upgrading any of my computers to Vista. Why spend the dollars when everything is functioning with XP.
