First step, quit using the little plastic loan shark. Cancel the account and cut the rascal up.

Now, earn more than you spend. Until that happens, you're not going to make any progress. Is this your only credit card? If so, put every penny you can into the balance each month until it's gone.

If you don't have any money to put extra on the card, you've got to figure out how to get more money.

Hmmm....

A) Get a second job.
B) Sell that motorcycle, jet ski, big screen t.v., whatever "big kid" toys you have that you really shouldn't have gotten in the first place.
C) Forget about the fancy restaurants and enjoy the beans and rice.

And for the record, the issplist.com mentioned below is nothing but a spam email generator. All of this poster's "answer" point to this site

All the above advice is fantastic and highly recommended.

Get used to earning money it gets quite addictive after awhile. Then find a balance between spending and saving.

Talk about addictions, same as this yahoo answers, myLot is another question and answer place, myLot however, pay you for entries. Not much I have to tell you. But it is fun to watch the amount go up. When you get to $10.00 then it goes to you, and they pay you monthly. That could go off your credit card bill.

So that can help you earn some more cash if you want. Click below to get there. It's fun too, just like Yahoo. I think they are connected somehow too. That's the web for you!

Well let's see, lets just do the math.....If you pay $125 a month
X4 months =$500.00.it would take 8 months of paying $125 a month to = $1000.00.........OR 40 months to pay off.(4years 2 months)
If you can pay more toward the credit card then that would be good too. In the meantime you shouldn't use the card anymore.
That is hard to do... So just pay what you can each month. Some months you will be able to pay more. That's good.
So good luck ..Just make yourself do this..B/4 long it will be paid off and your credit will be good.

If you've quit using it, then your best bet is to consolidate in order to get a lower rate. Try the company below
