I dyed my hair using Revlon ColorSilk (SoftBlack) 2 days ago. My hair is soft and smooth and I did a deep conditioning treatment on it, but its just to dark and I want to redye it tonight using the same brand but a shade lighter because it worked well. I start work tomorrow and I look horrible with black hair. I've heard your hair will fall out if you redye it to soon. Is this true?

First of all, relax. =)
I think you would be fine if you dyed now, but if you try to go just one shade lighter you may not see the results you want. Try going 2 shades lighter and in a warmer tone. If I'm not mistaken, soft black is more of a blue-black and doesn't really flatter warmer skin tones. Try a dark, warm brown this time and make sure you're gentle with your hair for the next few weeks.
Good luck!

The only way you can remove the die is what I call it when its black ( dye ) you remove with 2 pumps of shampoo 40 volume peroxide 1 scoop oF bleach ON WET HAIR.Its called a soap cap.Pull hair up in plastic cap.Let sit till you see it lighten to the shade you want.Condition after yoor done for 10 mins.Use a good Profesionel color treated shampoo and do not recolor your hair until it is in elasticity good shape!

You cannot lighten color with a color..you'd need to do what the person above me suggested (we call it a bleach wash) but 40 volume peroxide?? yikes. I would never use that and I would NEVER do this myself at home...BAAADDDD things can happen!!!
Go to a salon for help. Maybe a few hightlights would help and not jeoprodize the integrity of your hair.
It's damaging to do all of that at once. That nice soft, smoooth hair you have going on will be no more and you will regret it.
Good Luck!!

Do not redye tonight. This will cause the hair to dry out dramatically and yes it could cause some loss of hair. You need to wait to re-color atleast 4 weeks. In the mean time get a natural highlight (henna based), something that will wash out a few days and then reapply. It will be safer and your hair will not see as much damage.

unless your hair was already in really bad shape, this will likely not be the case.

i've dyed mine three times in the last 6 or so weeks, and it's not falling out yet :)
