Hi,

I know that clicking the mouse can be bad for regarding carpal tunnel syndrome. Is there any good software that anyone can suggest where instead of left clicking the mouse, you can press a key on your computer keyboard instead. Found a good software called Key Mouse 4.1, but wanted to know if there are any other good products out there that can be used.

You don't need any software! You can change the mouse action to the opposite button so that you can use Right-click to be the primary button in Windows XP or even in most other versions.

Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Mouse>Buttons>Button Configuration
Then put a check mark next to Switch primary and secondary buttons. Click Apply, OK

You're all set!

Writing for long sessions of time, that is many times lots much less complicated for that to ensue for the period of pen paintings than that's while utilising a mouse. Carpal tunnel is only a cramping of the carpal (hand) muscle mass, it works comparable to the different cramp. usually, those happen once you stressful up a muscle that hasn't been arranged for the surprising stress.

I not thought of this, but, you may be able to learn your keyboard short-cuts and look in Start > Settings > Control Panel > Accessibility Options; there are some things there about Mouse/General may help.
Remember there many short-cuts, may check Help to learn. I know many, but, not all.
I looked in Help > Search > Shortcut Key. Natural Keyboard Shortcuts will show many keyboard shortcuts. It look over-whelming, but, in time you learn. I actually use shortcuts more than my mouse. They really are easy once a person take the time to learn. Plus they come in very useful when the mouse not work, you not have to freak out.

If you have Windows XP then you already have a good speech dictation/recognition system built in. Additional capabilities can be added using the e-Speaking (website below) Voice and Speech Recognition software.

Microsoft has a good summary on their website called: "How to install and configure speech recognition in Windows XP" (see last reference below).

The combination of Microsoft's software and e-Speaking should enable you to accomplish great things with voice recognition.
