Hardly. The second beast (which is what this verse describes in Revelation 13) is the false prophet that causes the people of the world to worship the first beast (aka the Anti-Christ).

The key to identifying where this occurs is in Revelation 17, which says that "The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is sitting." (Revelation 17:9) This describes Rome. The city is built upon seven hills or mountains. They are Cermalus, Cispius, Fagutal, Oppius, Palatium, Sucusa, and Velia.

The passage you mention has nothing to do with the U.S.
