Probably not because Nascar doesn't want to give other teams ideas and Nascar would have to compare the substance to a number of known substances to figure out exactly what it is. According to the rules anything that is not pure race fuel is illegal and so whatever they found is not approved race fuel and they can just leave it at that. Whether it was actually Truex jr's urine (I guess sometimes you just have to go somewhere) or 104+ Octane Booster or what we will never know.

FYI to other answerers about jet fuel and rocket fuel:
Apparently everyine has seen the STP ads (works like jet fuel in your tank) a few too many times;the actual term is aviation gas which covers about 20 different mixes and varieties that are available at most airports. All of them are actually petroleum based and are chemically very close to common pump or to the leaded race gas nascar uses. In fact, according to articles about these fuels, some of them are actually less refined pump gas without fuel additives that pump gas has. None of them are regulated by the EPA or a state division of weights and measures(like pump gas), they may be regualted by the FAA and so they have much wider tolerances for quality. Some engineers say that aviation gas will run badly in a car engine and will probably not actually yield more power.
Rocket fuel, as used by NASA and in missles is actually solid and works more like a barely controlled explsoive (note the challenger disaster where the explosion was not controlled). Rocket fuel would never mix with gasoline and would make it through the carb and fuel system. Most rocket fuel is actually alcohol based and the combustion is multiplied by the addition of nitrous oxide or similar oxidizer. Even if it did get in the cylinder it burns so hot it would probably hole the piston as soon as the engine runs a little while.

I don't think we will ever know, i have lost what little respect I have ever had for Waltrip. If memory serves me correctly did he not make a qualify session last year and then go and buy a car that did qualify just to drive that race?? How does he get away with this stuff?

From what I have heard over the last week it seems most likely that it was rocket fuel and NOT jet fuel. It was a greasy or gel like substance, not liquid. Jet fuel is pretty much kerosene that is supercharged but it is still a liquid. Rocket fuel is not liquid. NAPA/NASA? It's just a letter away AND Daytona is not that far from Kennedy Space Center. Things that make you go hmmmm.

No, the common answers/ rumors though have been wither jet or rocket fuel. Both have been mentioned during television broadcasts on Fox, Speed and ESPN.

If they told us what it really was everyone would want to try it. Also, if Mikey didn't know about it, and I think he did, he is a lousy owner. Wonder how many times someone has used a leaner mix and got away with it?

Barney Frank inserted and squirted something in the intake.

Probably an oil product. You see with Japanese cars you still have to mix the oil with the gas.

We will know what NASCAR wants us to know. They will tell use something to put this story to rest but the real substance will remain unknown.
