I have never heard of this on the North East (until I saw it on a the movie Final Destination 3). Is it more common in other parts of the U.S?
Do you know a way to make it?

They freeze the Snickers,Milky Way, cheesecake or brownie batter in single serving sizes. After they are frozen, you dip them in batter and then deep fry until golden brown. The batter can be either pancake batter(which I have seen often), or you can use a funnel cake batter. Funnel cake batter can be found at most grocery stores in the U.S. If you do the pancake batter, I find it faster and easier if you buy a good quality mix! I dip the candy or brownie batter in flour like you would for making fried chicken. Then I dip it in the batter. This makes the batter stick to the food more easily! Fry at the same temp you would for the funnel cake. Here in Texas, I have also seen fried Twinkies and Oreo's at the fairs and rodeos! Go crazy! Since this process is so time consuming, I have a suggestion for you to help maximize the benefits. If you do the pancake batter, maybe you can cook up some breakfast sausages before you begin. Then dip them in the pancake batter along with your other stuff. When they are done, you can serve the fried candy topped with powdered sugar or Hershey's syrup. The fried pancakes filled with sausages are great to freeze and heat in the microwave for a quick breakfast on the go!

it's really easy.
stick two chopsticks (still attatched to each other) into a snickers, put it in the freezer for at least 20 minutes.
mix up some pancake mix (the add water kind) with specified amount of water. pour this into a tall glass.
heat oil to 375*
dunk snickers in batter, let excess drip off, float in oil, turning once, till just golden.
eat!
i think it's more common in the midwest, tho i'm from austin and they do fried twinkies here

Yes they do deep fried in batter Mars Bars and Moro Bars over here in fish & chip shops - never at a restaurant and no one would make them at home. A huge sugar blast, but sickly.

I saw them make it on T.V. once, they were in a resturant they dipped the snickers bar in pancake batter and stuck in in the fryer for a few minutes. I know a few restuarants that serve it
