When ppl say 'my water broke!' what does it mean?

the baby is in a sack of water called the amniotic fluid? . and it breaks when having a baby.

I hope this is a legit question. It means this.....see when a woman is carrying a baby....the baby is encased in a sack of fluid inside the womb. When the woman goes into labor, eventually that sack breaks , thus the saying "my water just broke" then usually theres a puddle of water on the floor or where ever,and when it does then that means that the baby is ready to be born.

A embryo/baby is in a embriotic sack, which contains a fluid. Just prior to birth, this sack is broken by the little tyke, and the fluid comes out. This is referred to as "my water broke". (the baby's on the way!)

when your pregnant and about to have the baby a plug of sorts falls out and all this water gushes out like wherever you are then its on to labor

it means SHE is going to have a baby...It also means what the baby is in...inside of the woman...has broken and is time (well not time exactly) for the baby to come into the world
