I hope this is a legit question. It means this.....see when a woman is carrying a baby....the baby is encased in a sack of fluid inside the womb. When the woman goes into labor, eventually that sack breaks , thus the saying "my water just broke" then usually theres a puddle of water on the floor or where ever, and when it does then that means that the baby is ready to be born.

A embryo/baby is in a embriotic sack, which contains a fluid. Just prior to birth, this sack is broken by the little tyke, and the fluid comes out. This is referred to as "my water broke". (the baby's on the way!)
