Crisco! Crisco is a great subsitute and it makes things taste better than they usually would.

You can also use vegetable oil spread.

Melt the Crisco/vegetable oil spread and use as the directions say.

I substitute olive oil for vegetable oil in all recipies and have never had a problem. I just don't buy vegetable oil or Crisco because they are not as healthy as Olive Oil.

You might take some Crisco and melt it down, or you could probably even use some Virgin Olive Oil. A nice substitute, however, might be mayonaise or applesauce, or even plain yogurt.

A great low fat substitute is no sugar added apple sauce. Canola oil or olive oil can also be used.

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually chosen much too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fresh vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
