he is really cute and i need something to start a coversation. plus i can tell when he talks about it he really is concerned. the reason im asking is because he is also my bff's ex.

you should try to talk to him on a lighter note, this will prevent issues with his mom is something is really bad. Ask your bff or w/e that is about how she feels about you dating or seeing this guy. If she is okay with it proceed if not then weigh out the situation and see if he's worth your friend getting mad at you.

It is never wrong to show genuine concern. If your are concerned because you're crushing, forget it. Your disingenous intent will show through.

But, on the othe hand , let him know you're crushing on him. Let him use you, then you'll get wiser and learn not to crush, but seek good relationships.
