I'm in love with my boyfriend, true love. I want to spend the rest of my life with him, but we're still i high school and I don't think he's readt to make such a commitment as marriage, or even engagement for a while till we get married. But i feel like I need a pretty littler ing on my finger, I don't know why. It's comforting in a way, maybe to know that he loves me, or to reassure myself. Is this wrong? Shold I just let it go, and let things happen whent hey happen?

You need a ring to know you are loved?....A ring is always nice....but if you need it to know you are loved....then your focus is misguided....it should be unspoken things that can attest if you are loved or not....actions....how you are treated....etc....Good luck.

Yes let things happen when they happen. If you push the issue you might find he is gone. Maybe he has a pin or something similar that he would be happy for you to have otherwise I would not even mention it. A ring is not the answer to whether he loves you or not or as reassurance only his actions and words can do that. You might find that at the end of high school your outlook has changed and you may think now that its true love and later just a relationship.

It sounds like you are a little insecure about weather or not he will leave you. I would try to figure out your reasons for feeling this way. If you cant then maybe talk to your man about it and maybe he can buy you a comitment ring, doesnt have to be expensive just something to say he will always love you. Be as patiant as you can about marriage, you need to no alot about each other and many other things aside from love before you get in to it. Marriage is alot of work.

You need to get your high school diploma and then get some col ledge education.You are still young and marriage should be the last thing on your mind.Get your Carree started first and then if you are still with your boyfriend then get married.You have your whole life ahead of you .Try not to rush into anything like marriage.

why do you need a pretty little ring. you sound like you are not sure that he loves unless you have that ring. you already feel he is not ready to make that kind of commitment .you are both in high school enjoy your young life there is plenty of time to worry about a serious relationship

your still in high school so your in that puppy love stage your way to young to be thinking about marriage right now you need to think about what your going to do after high school live your life and let things be if it happens it happens you can't rush it just wait i'm 26 and i promise you it's worth the wait.

It isn't really wrong to want that..but you both are still in high school it would be better to wait, if the love is there it will be there later. Take your time and really get to know each other, there is time.

if you really want one tho... you could suggest that the two of you get promise rings...

take it slow, your both still so very young, and that is a very big commitment, slow down, or you'll scare him away. you don't need a ring from him yet, but if you need a ring, go buy one for yourself
