My husband races cars on a dirt track and has to wear a helmet. The problem is when he breaths while he's racing, his helmet fogs up and it becomes hard for him to see while he is driving. Does anyone know if any ways to keep his helmet from fogging up all the time?

RainX is to help keep the rain from building up on your windows, hence the name, RAIN-X. The reason a helmet or anything else fogs up is temperature and humidity. If you can get the face of the helmet warmed to the temp of your breath fogging won't be as much of an issue.

Ventilation is the problem. His warm, moist breath can't escape the helmet, causing condensation. Buy a helmet with a vent around the mouth area. Make sure it's a good design, or he could end up eating dirt. ;-)

You might want to try a product such as rain x. Rain X is made so you windows don't fog up while you are driving. So this sounds like a great solution for his problem. I'm sure there are other products out there, but that is just one I am aware of.

see if his helmet has velcro attachments for anti foggers, kinda like most motorcycle helmets have. it gives more protection to fogging and some times the rain x stuff actually makes it worse when your are tryin to prevent fogging. but they should make anti-foggers for auto cross helmets.

Rub a small amount of shampoo on it. Don't wipe it off with a cloth, just keep rubbing it in until it disappears. It will not fog up for days.

there is this thing that you attach inside your helmet and its like a nose guard and it helps the foggin up go down more. and there should be vents on the helmet so open them up.

This may sound yucky....
but pure human spit.
I'm Serious. Trust me!
(It works for swimming goggles too!)

It works as as a
'sunblock" agiest moisture, condinsation, and natural oil from the face.
