yes e-4 in the army
e-3 air force and navy
e-2 marines

you can also apply for officers training school!

And "I'm in the air force" is wrong... having a college degree does not guarantee officer status it just makes you eligible to become an officer! you still have to apply but it does guarantee rank!

Immensely! I knew a lot of soldiers with degrees shoot up the rank ladder in no time. Still, it helps to have gone through the ROTC program in your school (if it had one) so that you could become an officer. Talk to a recruiter if you're serious, and they will give you more information. Or go to the website of the service you intend to join and check it out.

Before you go into the military, yes. Instead of becoming enlisted you could try to go in as an officer. Officers have much more reponsibilty and therefore get paid a heck of a lot more. Also, if you went in as an enlisted member you will need points to get promoted to Sergeant or Staff Sergeant, you will get one point for each college credit that you have.

Yes, absolutely. You would need it especially if you would like to become an officer. Contact a military recruiter about the added training and positions that are open to you with a degree.

JOINING THE AIR FORCE better learn more about military ranks.
it will help you go in as a higher enlisted, i don't know been to long since I been in used to be E3 for Army but like the rest say look at going to OCS and becoming and officer. But I have to ask two question do you have common sense and if you think something is stupid will you at least think about it before have your troops do it, Example our LT made us stand in the rain waiting for the Commander to tell us we could go to bed we just had all about 5-10 shots before going to Saudi,we were all sick, he could you said go to bed and I'll take the heat it was after midnight. He didn't all the commander said was dismissed had been standing there for two 1/2 hours

A college degree will allow you acceptance into OTS. It does not guarantee you will be an officer but it does guarantee you admittance into officer's school. My son went to officer's school & then on to Ranger school. 73% of his class garduated from Ofiicer Training School. 21% graduated from Ranger School - only 33 out 271 without recycling. My son graduated without recycling or repeating any part. He is a Captain now.

Education alone will not elevate you up in rank. You have to prove that you are fit to be a soldier first, and also display leadership ability. What good is promotion a Casper Milktoast to the rank of Corporal, or Sergeant, if a man is afraid of his own shadow, or cannot lead those under him?

with a college degree go OTS. Why be a worker bee when you can be a manager out of the gate.
