dont blame only the radicals. its always easy to blame radicals but the problem stems from the root of islam which is the teachings of mohomed. as a former muslim myself i have realised 1 thing. when a muslim learns the real truth about islam he or she either completely leaves it or due to the anger of been fooled by islam for so long they become radicals

You know who I think is the REAL threat to humanity and to our modern world? YOU, ma'am. YOU! And ONLY you and people like you. If you're gonna claim that Islam is a threat to modernity, then what about the other religions??!! "Islam" is the newest monotheistic religion (at least, the name is). So what do you mean? Hinduism, Budhism, Judaism, and Christianity are much older than Islam, and all still exist. The only difference between Muslims and other religious groups is that Muslims take their religion MUCH more seriously, ignoring the green gazes of those who don't take their religion as seriously as Muslims do. (The educated Muslims ignore the stupidity of others, at least.)
Oh, by the way, what do you mean why can't Islam be a part of the 21st century? I mean, seriously, be a little specific, will ya, buddy? We have beautiful beliefs (at least, the educated and faithful Muslims amongst us do). Do you find it a non-21st-century-belief that we have a strong belief in God, Who obviously means nothing to you? We live our lives happily, peacefully, and spiritually (the GOOD ones amongst us do!); whatever we do, we try to remember and praise and thank our Creator with all our heart. Do you find that an ancient belief? Too bad for you! We're happy the way we are, and we pray for your happiness, too, even if you continue judging our Beautiful Beliefs when you've no right to do so.
Besides, it doesn't matter if it's "ancient" or "tribal"; it's a strong belief system that wins the most converts each year. If people found it trabalistic, why on earth would they convert to it? When will it come out and be a part of the 21st century? When will you come out of your cave where you're not given the right to education and to think for yourself? Yeah, that'll be a wiser decision than posting questions about Islam, claiming you once upon a time followed it when it's far too obvious you never have been aware of the Beauty and Truth of Islam.
Even if Islam is not of the "21st century", at least it's a beautiful belief system for those who take their time to search for God's Truth, for peace, for happiness. At least we have some beliefs that we follow-- beliefs like not lying, not judging others, not spreading lies about others, respecting others and their beliefs whether we agree with them or not.... (You don't even have such beliefs, do you? How do you live life without them?) These are the characteristics of a TRUE Muslim, and I don't care if you don't know any good Muslims; the fault is yours because you ignore the Truth but know it's there.
Whether you like it or not, Islam is a religion for all people of all times of all places. Too bad this fact makes you mad because it's the truth.
May God forgive you all your sins; may He bestow His blessings upon you, in this world and in the next; may He guide you to His Truth, helping you get out of you cave of ignorance, opening your blind eyes and blind heart and blind mind to the Truth. I've debated with people your brain size before. I've read every accusation Islam got, I studied every letter in the Quran and read its interpertations. I do believe that radicals are ruining every religion. Theres people from every religion that left their religion, like you. Maybe your family was wacko and you thought that was Islam.
