i don't always have time to go to the gym to use the bench, is there anything i can do at home that will give the same affect as benching would, sorry if this is confusing

Buy a few medicine balls and start using them to do push ups with. It really activates all of those stabilizer muscles and burns to no end. When you advance, start putting your legs on an exercise ball and use the medicine balls. Stop halfway down and hold for a second and the same on the way back up. Just a few home ideas. Good Luck.
