Smiles, good question.
Being a (dumb hopeless-romantic)guy I think I'm pretty qualified to answer.
There are two possibilities, (duh)
He likes you or he wants to be your friend- either way - is good for you. (hopefully)
In my mind, these are actions I would take if I liked a girl, try to be near her, talk to her, listen, just whatever I could do to get to know her better.
As to if you should ask him out etc,
proven fact: A good close relationship is more stable if it has the foundation of a healthy friendship.
Not like- "I met this guy last tuesday and were friends",
like-
"I've known this guy for a year- maybe more maybe alittle less and he's my best friend now"
Besides isn't it alittle wiser to become really good friends first anyway- it's pretty much all pros exept for the waiting part, I mean you get to know the guy well enough to know if you really like him or not Vis Versa and so important!!!!!
!!! "f something is worth waiting for- it's worth waiting for,
If it's not worth waiting for- it's not worth it."!!!
Relationships are far too important to rush and squander with youthfull highschool imaturity.
They are to be treasured and nutured with time.
The best tasting meal is a homecooked meal (which takes time, preparation and simmer time) , same with a well grown rose.
Besides time won't hurt, and if time makes it pass away then it wasn't supposed to happen.
Hope this helps.
Rambo.

Well he certainly seems to be making an effort to talk to you. Why dont you ask him if he would like to go for a coffee. If he is interested I am sure he will say yes and I think he will by what you have posted. You dont always have to wait for him to make the first move as some guys are frighten of refusal.

he likes you and is just afraid to make the first move, the signs are all there but he is shy and trying his best to make you notice him more. a majority of guys are scared to make the first move but i sense that you are stronger than him so need to be the one who will take charge and get him out of his insecure shell, than all will be rewarded if a relationship prospers and you have feelings for him to! some men really think woman are more popular these days and need that first contact from them.
if you like him than make that first move babe!!
good luck

He may be just a nice, friendly, gregarious guy who is kind polite and very personable. If you like him, why not ask him if he would like to catch a movie with you some evening. If he says yes, you have the answer to your question. If he says no, yet still is kind to you, you will realize that he is just being a nice guy,

If he is making it a point to talk to you other than in the halls, he wants to get to know you. If you have a "thing" for him, I would ask him to go to lunch and see how things develop from there.

Sounds like he likes you. I'm not sure if it's as a friend or potential girlfriend. To save yourself from discomfort, give him some fairly subtle indication that you would like to spend more time with him and see if he asks you out. If he invites you out and you aren't sure if it's as a buddy or "love interest", ask if it's a date?

It seems that he likes u because he has done a lot of signs of liking u. I think u should ask him out because it could get to late and that would be bad.

Sounds like he does but wait for him to make the first move. Cause if its a mixed signal and u ask if you'll embarrass yourself.

I think there's a good chance he's interested, but the best thing to do , if you are interested yourself, is to just say so. Saying "I like you" and getting and "I like you too" back is a smooth way to start a relationship

Well the good thing is that he is looking to be with you rather than avoiding you. I would say just keep hanging out with each other. If it's meant to be then he will ask you out.
