Normally, reciprocating saws are used when demolishing a structure, or when dismanteling something previously constructed. For example, if one was going to remodel a bathroom, the saw would be instrumental in cutting out existing walls, 2 X 4's, and other lumber Also, with different blades, one can saw through wiring, backer board, tiling, and just about any other mterial. It's use is especially valued on its ability to speed a project by removing old materials.
It's not normally used to cut materials when constructing a new structure, nor is it necessarily designed for precision tasks. It speeds the process of removing old material
new walls, ceilings, etc. It's designed to withstand rough treatment, and can be used where most other cutting tools wouldn't be practical.

Its usually handy to keep your blade plateagainst what your cutting . Choose the proper blade; small teeth{like a hacksaw blade} is usually for metal and fine cuts in wood and plastic. Make sure the saw is unplugged when changing blades. You can also drill holes in say a piece of plywood to insert your blade to cut holes.

i cut out a ceiling and the dust got into my saw. i got some wd40 and sprayed it really good where it goes up and down . i held it so it will drain out and then repeated it . when i turn it upside down i let it run on high speed . now it works good

be careful. do not expect ro cut very straight an always wear safety glasses. then you just pull the trigger

usuall to cut out your mistakes, plumber cut plenty of holes, straightening bowed studs
