do not use sunblock, it defeats the purpose. Start out at a low very low minute amount and SLOWLY add. Also do not tan everyday, every other day is much better. Whatever lotion you use beforehand make sure it is not anything that contains mineral oil. There are several great lotions for after tanning....hempz and body drench are two of my favorites. Also, if you use a lotion with a bronzer you want to wait a couple of hours to shower after your tanning session (yes I know you smell funny after tanning). After I would shower, I would use either a good lotion or even body oil and then let myself air dry to lock in moisture.

Good Luck and Be Careful.

You should not use a tanning bed as it increases your risk for skin cancer. Always use a sunscreen when tanning and anytime you go outside too. Personally I would not be vain enough to use a tanning bed as skin cancer doesn't care if you are a teenager or an older person and if not caught in time it can be deadly.

because you are fair skinned you are a prime target for skin cancer. Skip the rays and use spray or bottle products. I really mean it. Best wishes.
